Flowerpot Island

The Flowerpot Island, located in the Georgian Bay, is part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park (4 hour drive from Toronto). I visited this spot over the summer and really enjoyed it. It started off as a gloomy, overcast day but it was a great trip overall. There are trails around the island – through the forest and along the coast.

But, of course it’s more fun when I went off the beaten path to scale the rocks, If you decide to do this – don’t worry, you won’t be the only one! You can really get up close to the naturally formed flowerpot rock tower. The best part though, in my opinion, kick off those shoes and socks after a day of hiking and dip them in the beautiful, blue water. Grab a seat on the rocks, relax and enjoy the view.
